As the new school year approaches, churches anticipate the kick-off of their own new Bible study groups and ministries. Part of that preparation is recruiting and training new volunteers. Ministry Grid, a new online resource from Lifeway, is looking to partner with churches in this much-needed role.
Right now, the online training service is offering pastors and church leaders access to the site free for 30 days. MinistryGrid.com includes thousands of instructional videos and tools for every area of church ministry.
To access the free trial, people only need to register for one of the weekly demos available every Thursday at 3 p.m. EST, says Ministry Grid brand manager Barnabas Piper.
During the demo, according to Piper, viewers see “a brief explanation of why Ministry Grid exists and what our mission is. Then they are offered a tour of the site to show the four key features: video content, site customization for individual organizations, assigning and tracking training, and assessments.”
The presentation lasts less than 30 minutes, with time for a Q&A afterwards.
Participating in the demo grants individuals access to everything at Ministry Grid, “even allowing them to onboard fellow church leaders or staff members to get their church set up.”
If a church decides to purchase Ministry Grid after their free trial ends, all of their account information is saved, so all of the customization and information already submitted will continue with the new account.
Piper says churches who have signed up are excited about implementing Ministry Grid into their training strategy this fall, as it “provides a means to train every person in the church in their respective areas of ministry, small groups, and even personal growth.”
According to him, Ministry Grid “allows ministry leaders to assign and track training, group people into ministry areas, and create an online training environment that fits their needs.”
“We provide all the tools church leaders need to train people,” says Piper, “so they don’t have to create their own system for every individual ministry.”
