Changes Coming to The Gospel Project

Uncategorized | Mar 12, 2015

Three years ago, Lifeway introduced The Gospel Project to church leaders with a live webcast featuring Matt Chandler and J.D. Greear. That event became a trending topic on Twitter and sparked interest among churches. Since then, The Gospel Project has been released and grown to more than 775,000 weekly users.

Now, as churches are concluding the initial three-year study plan, changes are coming to The Gospel Project. While the focus will still be on seeing the Bible through the lens of redemption, the curriculum will now be chronological for all age groups.

In The Gospel Project: Chronological, children, students, and adults will examine how all Scripture—from Genesis to Revelation—points to Jesus and compels them to join the mission of God today. Six sessions (or 18 months) will be spent on both the Old Testament and the New Testament to complete the 12 session, three-year program.

In conjunction with the release of the new curriculum, The Gospel Project is offering a free eBook version of The Mission of God featuring essays and letters from pastors and church leaders including Billy Graham, Ed Stetzer, Matt Chandler, Juan Sanchez, Eric Mason, Andreas Köstenberger, Wendy Alsup, Trevin Wax, Tullian Tchividjian, J. D. Greear, Linda Bergquist, R. C. Sproul and more.

As they did with the original launch, The Gospel Project will hold another special online event. On May 11 from 1– 4 p.m. CST, Louie Giglio, John Piper, David Platt, Tony Evans, Paul Tripp, Derwin Gray, Matt Chandler, Ed Stetzer and more will take part in a free event exploring how the gospel permeates our entire lives.
