An expected 1,500 technologists, innovators, and entrepreneurs will come together for a global “hackathon” to discuss and address the intersection of Christianity and technology.
Code for the Kingdom, a Leadership Network initiative, will host its first ever global hackathon on October 2-4, 2015. It will be held simultaneously in 13 cities around the world in collaboration with Indigitous, local organizers worldwide, and sponsors Faith Comes By Hearing, One Hope, and World Vision. This will be the largest Code for the Kingdom hackathon yet.
The hackathon will seek to create solutions that address significant issues confronting society, community, families, and spiritual lives and reclaim our times for the gospel. In each of the 13 cities, local teams and individuals will also be able to present challenges and projects relevant to their communities.
Participants will join together and choose topics on which they will work to create solutions over the weekend.
