Karl Vaters leads Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Fountain Valley, California. He is author of The Grasshopper Myth: Big Churches, Small Churches, and the Small Thinking that Divides Us (2013). He writes about the value and needs of small churches for Christianity Today and is the founder of NewSmallChurch.com, a blog that encourages, connects, and equips innovative small church pastors. Karl and his wife, Shelley, have three kids (Veronica, Matt, and Phil) and one son-in-law (Sam).
