For the past few weeks, sports blogs have been abuzz with a challenge to readers to build hypothetical basketball teams with what amounts to $15 of Monopoly money. Here’s how it works, with $15 you pick from some of the greatest players ever who are given different prices. Each position has a $5 player, a $4 player, A $3 player, and so on.
Debates have raged on blogs and message boards over the greatest teams ever from each NBA or college team. It’s a fun exercise among friends.
So we wondered what it would be like to do this with a pastoral library, and B&H Academic jumped on board with a “dream team” of books to give away. Below is a listing of five general areas of study with books in each category. Each book has a dollar value assigned to it. The goal is to build your library without busting your $15 budget.
