A familiar hymn and voice can be heard in the background at the Passion Music Studio on a rainy Monday morning.
Travis Greene is in town to record with the Passion worship team. Greene is a Grammy- and Dove-nominated artist who is making waves in the Christian Contemporary/Gospel industry.
His latest album Crossover: Live from Music City debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s gospel charts in August 2017. This fall Greene will join pastor Louie Giglio and the Passion worship team for their Passion Worship Nights.
Greene stepped away from the recording mic for a few minutes to talk to Maina Mwaura about the upcoming tour.
As soon as Greene walks into the dimly lit studio room and begins speaking, its clear God has called him to be a light in today’s secular culture. Greene believes Christ-followers should be on mission to engage a culture that desperately needs the gospel.
He says no matter the calling or career a believer chooses, the number one mission should be to engage and lift up the name of Jesus.
